An Agnostic in the House of God

My Ongoing Experiences at the Lutheran Church of Honolulu

In 2017, my wife Cathy and I started regularly attending services at the Lutheran Church of Honolulu (LCH). In 2018, Cathy became a member. We joined Bible Study, and Adult Education (a sort of Sunday school for adults). I joined two of their choirs (LCH is know for its music ministry).

As an agnostic, I have sometimes felt uncomfortable participating in religious practices that I do not believe in. However, LCH is remarkably tolerant of many spiritual viewpoints including mine.

I decided to write about my experiences because, perhaps, it can help both believers and non-believers in what is ultimately a shared journey towards deepening spiritual understanding.
